Not-for-profit marketing agency gives back
dot + del deliver donation to Glasgow Children’s Hospital
Not-for-profit PR and marketing agency, dot + del, has today presented its chosen charity partner, Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity (GCHC) with a cheque for £8,000.
The cash raised marks the end of the 18-month charity partnership between dot + del and GCHC. Not only that, but dot + del has also provided over £16,000 worth of agency time days in kind for charitable causes during this period.
The Glasgow-based agency, which gives 100% of its profits to charity, was launched in 2022 from a standing start, without financial aid, by award-winning marketer and business strategist Susie Fraser, who remains Chair of the agency.
Co-Founder and Director Hayley Hatherell, who oversees the day-to-day management of the company is an experienced marketing communications and PR professional, having worked in the past with some of the UK’s biggest brands including Hammerson PLC, Dentsu Aegis, Tomatin, and IHG.
Hayley Hatherell, said: “We’re incredibly proud to present this money to GCHC which we know will be used to support families across the West of Scotland. We understand that in this economy, this may seem like a small amount, however if every private business donated just a small amount to the third sector – what a difference it would make.”
Kirsten Watson, Chief Executive of GCHC said: “We were delighted that dot + del chose us. The money so generously donated will help to support many hospital families with the additional costs that can often arise when a child is in hospital. Thanks to dot + del, we will be able to provide financial and practical support to families throughout the West of Scotland, during some of their darkest and most challenging days.”
Dot + del is a tribute to Susie’s parents, affectionately known as Dot and Del, who both contributed considerably to journalism and charity and were leading lights within the media industry in the 70s and 80s. Not only that but it also speaks to ‘dotting the Is and crossing the Ts’ and putting an emphasis on delivery.
The ethos of dot + del is to transform the marketing and communications landscape by providing a high level of service with a whole lot of heart.
Founder and Chair, Susie Fraser added: “After working through the Covid-19 pandemic and seeing the significant impact it has had on the community, businesses, and my family, I knew it was time to make a change. I am so proud of dot + del and hope to leave a positive legacy in honour of my parents. And some exciting news is that we are opening dot + del London this Summer too.”
As well as the cash raised for GCHC, dot + del have also supported more than 20 freelancers and worked closely with other agencies on contracts since launching in April 2022.
Hayley continued said: “We must thank Fi-Nest, Merson Group, The Beal Group, Ideal Home Show, freetobook, Assembly Events, and Kilgraston School for their ongoing support. This would not be happening without them and we are so grateful. As our mantra states: by helping deliver their mission, they helped make our mission a reality.”
Dot + del is supported by its extensive freelance network of branding experts, videographers, photographers, designers, content creators, animators, and affiliates used to deliver a wide variety of projects and campaigns to the very highest standard.
The dot + del have a strong stable of clients across multiple verticals including major events, B2B, education and retail. Last year, the retained clients and freelancers working within dot + del’s extensive network were invited to vote from a shortlist of charities from across the UK, with a new charity partner being announced for year three as the Alzheimer’s Society.
