Kicking Off 2025 with a Bang: Our Q1 Round Up

Reading Time: 3 minutes

Wow, what a whirlwind of a first quarter it’s been here at dot + del! From returning favourites to exciting new partnerships, we’ve been busy making waves and setting the stage for a fantastic year. Let’s dive into the highlights:

January: returning clients + new charity partner

We kicked off 2025 with familiar favourites – back working with the Global Entertainment Awards and Ideal Home Show Scotland! It’s a pleasure to have built such long lasting relationships with these clients.

After a big build up and the cancellation in November Hayley and Susie’s skydive for last year’s charity partner, Alzheimer’s Society, was delayed again due to poor weather. Although it was mixed emotions – disappointment with maybe a smidge of relief – the ladies both want to get the jump done. We’re hopeful that it will take place nearer the spring/summer when the weather might be more favourable, so stay tuned.

But that wasn’t all. We were also thrilled to announce our new charity partner, Bowel Cancer UK. This partnership is incredibly important to us, and we’re excited to contribute to their vital work. Watch this space!

February: global glamour + local growth

February saw us jetting off to Portugal again for the Global Entertainment Awards. It was, as expected, an incredible experience celebrating the best in entertainment marketing on a global stage with a fantastic client.

Susie and Hayley did what they did best, delivered excellent on the ground event support – from floor management to script writing, social media and everything in between. This year they were also able to attend one of the event’s programme’s Insights Forum, which took place at the incredible Rocksalt Mine in Loulé.

They donned rather fetching red hard hats and descended 80 floors into a working salt mine for an unforgettable panel discussion where speakers explored the revolutionary impact of Web3 on the entertainment landscape. The panel included Clarissa Peereboom, CMO of TINS, Trang Lê Bozon, Managing Partner of Apex Spectrum Capital, Scott Addison Clay, Founder and CEO of Addison Interactive and Eventuall – to name a few.

Back on home turf, Hayley attended the “ADHD & Women Summit” at Glasgow Uni as well as “Programme for Growth” in Aberdeen for Business Women Scotland. The latter an initiative backed by the Pathways Fund and supported by the Scottish Government, is dedicated to fostering sustainable progress and empowering businesses across Scotland.

Last but by no means least, we also raised a glass to our marvellous Claire in celebration of her birthday.

March: momentum building + industry insights

March was the busiest month yet. We supported our friends at Mixed Change with their urgent fundraising plea for a legal defence fund for Billie Allen, an innocent man on federal death row. As well as offering our support, we also bought a piece of Billie’s artwork which we’ll be proudly displaying at our new digs.

Speaking of which, we also had a look at a new office space. So, although it’s a farewell to our HQ in the Hidden Lane, we’ll have more news to come on this very exciting development.

We welcomed Wyre as a new client, and we’re ready to hit the ground running and take their brand to the next level. We were also busy making the preparations for Ideal Home Show Scotland before the campaign kicks off.

Hayley went the opening of the new Rioja in the city centre and also had the privilege of attending the Beatson Ladies Lunch, supporting a truly worthy cause. While Susie showed her support for the national team at the Scotland vs Greece football game courtesy of Wyre, proving that we know how to mix business with pleasure!

We also attended our client, Mac Recruit Group’s Marketing Mixer event, which was a real highlight, offering fascinating insights into the evolving drinks industry. We learned about the challenges of marketing to younger consumers (hello, Challenge 25), the complex process of creating alcohol-free beer (and why it can’t be in kegs), and the importance of delivering quality products that customers love, regardless of price point or effects.

We also have begun to work on an exciting project with The Yard; a charity close to our hearts. We can’t wait to reveal all…

And we’re delighted to welcome Sculpted Vegan aka Kim Constable to our client roster! We’re excited to help her grow her brand and share her inspiring story.

Finally, we’re thrilled to have our internship program back in full swing, welcoming fresh talent to the dot + del team. Interested or know anyone that might be? Get in touch!

Looking ahead: what’s on the radar?

Q1 has set the tone for an exciting year, and we can’t wait to see what the rest of 2025 has in store. Stay tuned for more updates and thank you for being a part of the dot + del journey. By delivering your mission, you help make our mission a reality.
