Building on the Bang: Our Q2 Round Up
Continuing the trend, Q2 has been a busy few months here at dot + del! From delivering an array of different shoots, to being on the ground at some of the UK’s biggest and most important events, we’ve certainly been kept busy.
Let’s dive into the highlights:
April: taking to the skies + finding our new home
After a few false starts, Susie and Hayley finally completed their skydive for last year’s charity partner, Alzheimer’s Society in April. They headed off down to Lancaster, where little did they know, they would be jumping from the UK’s highest skydiving centre! They dove in style, a full 15,000 feet and landed (gracefully) on solid ground.
We also celebrated our move to our new office with a wee launch party for our clients and supporters. We’re now located in the Pentagon Business Centre with lots of excellent new neighbours including Wyre, SoundLab, and Playlist for Life.
This month was also Bowel Cancer Awareness month for our 2025 charity partner, we joined their digital campaign on social media to help raise awareness of this important issue.
May: cameras rolling + show stopping shows
This month was chock-a-block as we geared up for Ideal Home Show Scotland, where not only were we supporting with PR (and more), but we were also organising micro-events taking place in the Dream Home. We had a blast collaborating with media partners and some wonderful independent brands to make this happen (shout out to Jalisgow, Go Radio, Wee Ghost Beauty, the Cuticle Lab, and Scottish Woman Magazine).
We also had a few shoots with client, Merson, this month filming the process of creating the new signage for Network Rail station, Clapham Junction. We were also filming with them again for a separate project in Heathrow Airport’s T2 (both landside and airside) for a film showcasing the terminal’s new digital signage.
Hayley and Claire also headed up to Perthshire for a shoot for the Beal Group which saw them spend the day channelling their inner ‘Glastonbury Glamping Gal’ for BCT Outdoors. Big thank you to Michele an interior designer guru and set dress extraordinaire!
Hayley was also off to the races with Mac Recruit Group gathering content at their client day out at Hamilton Racecourse.
This month saw us welcome new chic client, Century Club. We can’t wait to tell you more about them…
Hayley also attended the TecTonic Night Summit at BAaD in the Barras. The event saw over 400 attendees across 50 sectors attend, where entrepreneurism, digital innovation and community projects were celebrated.
And finally, we hosted a workshop for our charity partner, Bowel Cancer UK. We met some of their amazing team members, heard about their exciting plans for the year ahead and provided our own expertise, advice, and creative ideas!
June: major milestones + on-point coverage
The final leg of Merson’s Clapham Junction shoot took place this month with all parts falling into place for the finished product, thanks to our fantastic videographers and Hayley’s project management prowess.
Susie was on the case at CrimeCon UK, interviewing Emeritus Professor David Wilson and Howard Soanes, working closely with the press, Jess Phillips’ Office and Nour Norris OBE and securing some top coverage.
Hayley and Claire got their glad rags on for the Scottish Fashion Week launch party in Edinburgh, rubbing shoulders with exciting new designers, creatives, and even some beauty queens!
Hayley was back in the Director’s chair for two shoots with Wyre this month with one taking place at Dundee United’s training ground in St Andrews to celebrate their new partnership.
Susie donned her glad rags and attended the AR26 Charity gala at Gleneagles with Wyre. AR26 is an important charity that aims to provide free football coaching for children across Scotland in their ‘football for all’ project.
We were back at Century Club for their Open Day, soaking in the atmosphere and supporting with content creation.
Hayley was back behind the camera, this time in Uddingston, gathering an array of content for Darcey Quigley & Co where the team celebrated the company’s 18th anniversary.
Finally, this month we raised our glasses and celebrated Susie and Hayley’s birthdays. Susie enjoyed a quiet day whilst Hayley took a well-earned vay-cay and headed to Köln to catch a gig, sample the local beer, and soak up some culture!
Looking ahead: what’s on the radar?
Q2 has continued the tone set at the start of the year: it’s been exciting and busy! It’s been a bit of a whirlwind, so as we head into the summer, we’re looking forward to having a bit of a reset so we’re ready to take on the rest of the year, recharged and raring to go. Stay tuned for more updates and thank you for being a part of the dot + del journey. By delivering your mission, you help make our mission a reality.
